Jonathan Loaisiga Earns First Career Save
4 years agoNew York Yankees relief pitcher Jonathan Loaisiga earned the first save of his career in Saturday's 2-1 victory over the Indians. Loaisiga entered the game in the eighth inning with two outs and got Ahmed Rosario to pop up on his second pitch before working a 1-2-3, 10-pitch ninth inning for his first career save. The 26-year-old right-hander has been a jack-of-all-trades in the Yankee bullpen, as he has two wins, a hold, and a save while owning a strong 1.35 ERA with 13 strikeouts to just one walk. He certainly has some fantasy appeal in deeper leagues, particularly category formats where managers could benefit from his stellar ratios.
