Jake McGee Allows Two Unearned Runs Friday
4 years agoSan Francisco Giants closer Jake McGee saw an inning of work in a non-save situation in Friday's 5-3 win over the Marlins. McGee entered the game to pitch the ninth inning up by four runs. He struck out the first two hitters, then Miguel Rojas reached first base on a Wilmer Flores throwing error. Jesus Aguilar then took McGee deep to make the score 5-3, but McGee was able to strike out Garrett Cooper to end the game. McGee has been one of baseball's best closers to start the season, converting seven of eight saves with a 2.36 ERA and a 37% strikeout rate. He should be in fantasy managers' lineups at all times.
