Clayton Kershaw Strikes Out Seven, Earns Loss Friday
4 years agoLos Angeles Dodgers starting pitcher Clayton Kershaw struck out seven batters over seven innings on Friday, but earned the loss in a 6-1 defeat against the Padres. Despite the loss, Kershaw still managed to record a quality start as he allowed three runs on five hits and one walk. Kershaw struggled with the long ball, as all three runs he allowed came on a home run by Wil Myers and two more by Fernando Tatis Jr. He's looked good so far with a 2.56 ERA and 24.8 percent strikeout rate in 31 2/3 innings, as well as recording a quality start in four consecutive appearances.
