4 years agoSan Francisco Giants second baseman Donovan Solano (calf) was placed on the 10-day injured list on Thursday with a right calf strain. Solano suffered the injury during Wednesday's game while running the bases- and it's not surprising that the Giants made this move, as they expected that he would have to miss some time with the issue. The 33-year-old was off to a good start at the dish, with 15 hits and a stolen base through his first 17 games played. The Giants recalled pitcher Gregory Santos in a corresponding move. Tommy La Stella, Wilmer Flores, and Mauricio Dubon are all options to fill in at second for Solano.--Tim Capurso
