Mike Foltynewicz Allows Three Homers But Rangers Win
4 years agoTexas Rangers pitcher Mike Foltynewicz turned in a quality start on Wednesday but he was touched up for three solo home runs during the club's 7-4 victory over the Los Angeles Angels. The veteran right-hander allowed seven hits but no walks, which helped limit the damage. He has now allowed eight home runs in 22 innings so far this season. His control was better than his command and he threw 65% of his pitches for strikes. Foltynewicz is still winless for the year and hasn't found himself in the victory column since 2019. If he can find a way to combat the home runs, he could have value in fantasy baseball because he's still missing bats (22 strikeouts).
