Taylor Rogers Sharp In Long Relief
4 years agoMinnesota Twins relief pitcher Taylor Rogers notched his third hold of the season and was excellent in Wednesday's outing. Rogers worked 2 1/3 innings, allowing just two hits and no runs or walks while fanning three batters. The southpaw still has yet to allow an earned run this season- and while he's had a couple of bumps in the road- a blown save against the Red Sox- he's arguably been Minnesota's best late-inning reliever. Rogers' fantasy stock seemingly went up after this game, with teammates Alex Colome and Hansel Robles struggling in their respective outings. It will be interesting to see if manager Rocco Baldelli turns to Rogers in the next save situation.
