Liam Hendriks Secures Third Save
4 years agoChicago White Sox closer Liam Hendriks picked up his third save of the season on Tuesday versus the Cleveland Indians. The White Sox were up five runs to start the bottom of the ninth inning, but relief pitcher Codi Heuer struggled to get the final out and allowed two runs in the inning. Hendriks was called on when the lead shrunk to three with two outs and a runner on first. The closer would then get first baseman Jake Bauers to groundout and pick up the save. Hendriks has now gone four straight appearances without allowing a run and he continues to operate as one of the best closers in the league.
