Anthony Rendon Resumes Baseball Activities
4 years agoLos Angeles Angels third baseman Anthony Rendon (groin) was able to resume baseball activities on Monday. Rendon, who has been sidelined since April 10 with a left groin strain, hit off a tee, threw, and did some fielding work on Monday. The veteran third baseman is eligible to return from the injured list on Wednesday, though it seems like he'll need a bit more time. Manager Joe Maddon said that Rendon is progressing well, though he still does not have an exact timetable for his return. He was off to a good start at the dish, with a .290 batting average, a home run, and five walks in 31 at-bats.
