Edwin Diaz Picks Up Second Save On Sunday
4 years agoNew York Mets closer Edwin Diaz picked up his second save of the season on Sunday by preserving the Mets' 2-1 win over the Rockies in Colorado. Diaz pitched the ninth inning, allowing just one hit, to successfully convert his second save in as many chances on the young season. Diaz now has a 3.18 ERA, a 1.06 WHIP, and a 7:2 K:BB in five and 2/3 innings pitched on the season. Diaz has looked impressive so far in 2021, coming off of an incredible bounce-back campaign in 2020. As one of the few bona fide closers in MLB, Diaz remains a top relief pitcher option in all fantasy formats, particularly pitching for a Mets team that will be in playoff contention. Fantasy managers should, accordingly, have Diaz active in all formats.
