Minnesota Wild right wing Mats Zuccarello (lower body) has been ruled out for 3-4 weeks. He underwent surgery on Thursday night after getting injured in a 3-0 win over Montreal. Based on the expected timeline, Zuccarello will be out for at least 10 games. Working on the first line, Zuccarello has recorded 14 points (six goals, eight assists) in 16 appearances this season. Matt Boldy looks set to replace him on the line until the veteran winger is ready to return. The Wild also lost Joel Eriksson Ek (lower body) on Thursday, but he's considered day-to-day and might be good to go Saturday versus Dallas.

Minnesota Wild right wing Mats Zuccarello (lower body) took only four shifts in Thursday's matchup against Montreal. He suffered a lower-body injury when teammate Brock Faber hit him with a shot. Zuccarello entered Thursday's tilt with a three-game point streak and has been part of the Wild's very prolific first line. He has tallied 14 points (six goals, eight assists) in 16 outings. Ryan Hartman or Marcus Foligno could join the top-six group if Zuccarello is out on Saturday against Dallas. Both players might even end up there, as Minnesota also lost Joel Eriksson-Ek (lower body) on Thursday.

Minnesota Wild forward Mats Zuccarello has been hit with a $2K fine for unsportsmanlike conduct for actions during Thursday's 6-1 loss to the Nashville Predators. The veteran was involved in a scuffle with Predators forward Michael McCarron while still on the bench, earning him the fine. McCarron was also handed a $2K fine for unsportsmanlike conduct. Both players received two-minute minors on the play. Zuccarello is enjoying another fine season with 11 goals and 50 points across 51 games. He has added 124 shots on goal and a whopping 28 points on the power play. The Wild currently sit sixth in the Central Division with a 28-26-6 record, eight points back of the rival Preds for the final Wild Card spot in the Western Conference.

Minnesota Wild right wing Mats Zuccarello (upper body) appears to be ready to return to the lineup, as the team has activated him from Injured Reserve ahead of Saturday's contest against Columbus. The veteran winger hasn't played since Dec. 16, sitting out nine games. Despite missing multiple weeks, Zuccarello has remained at the top of the Wild's assist's table with 22 helpers and he's added six goals across the season to average a point per game through 28 outings. His return puts Nic Petan's spot in the top six under a threat.
