Tyler Rogers Earns Sixth Hold Of Season Wednesday
Tyler Rogers picked up his sixth hold of the season in Wednesday's 3-0 win over the Reds. Rogers pitched a scoreless eighth inning, giving up no hits and a walk with no strikeouts. The side-armer has pitched well this season, compiling a 1.13 ERA with seven strikeouts over eight innings of work. Unfortunately for him, it looks like Jake McGee has a lock on the closer's role, at least for now. This will limit Rogers' fantasy value, although he definitely has a spot on fantasy rosters in saves/holds leagues.

Tyler Rogers Expected To Return Friday
Tyler Rogers is expected to return from paternity leave against the Cleveland Guardians on Friday. In Monday's defeat against the San Diego Padres, he allowed an earned run on two hits over one inning and was tagged with the loss. Overall, the 31-year-old has racked up two holds while posting a 3.38 ERA, 1.13 WHIP, and three strikeouts over 2 2/3 innings in 2022. The right-hander is one of San Francisco's top setup men for closer Camilo Doval. Rogers has more fantasy value in leagues that reward saves and holds as he picked up 43 ( 13 saves, 30 holds) solds for the Giants last season.

Tyler Rogers Exits Following Comebacker
Tyler Rogers exited Saturday's Spring Training game after taking a comebacker off his lower right leg. He exited the game without throwing another pitch, but the fact that he was able to walk on his own suggests that his removal could have been merely precautionary. Indeed, the Giants can't afford to lose Rogers, who dominated in 2021. Through 81 innings out of the bullpen, he went 7-1 with a 2.22 ERA, 1.07 WHIP, and 55 strikeouts. Furthermore, he surrendered just five homers and 13 walks. When all was said and done, the right-hander ranked among the league's best relievers in xwOBA, xERA, xSLG, walk rate, barrel rate, hard-hit rate, and opponent exit velocity.

Tyler Rogers Earns Win In NLDS Game 3 Monday
Tyler Rogers earned the win in Monday's 1-0 NLDS Game 3 win against the Dodgers. Rogers came in to pitch in the fifth inning with two outs and the bases empty. He got outfielder Mookie Betts to ground out to end the inning, then pitched a scoreless sixth inning with a single allowed, no walks and no strikeouts. The side-armer was fantastic in various situations for the Giants all season long and will continue to be a key part of their game plan as the postseason continues.
