Aaron Judge Belts Two Homers In Wednesday's Loss
4 years agoNew York Yankees outfielder Aaron Judge went 3-for-4 with a pair of home runs in Wednesday's loss to the Blue Jays. Judge had gone four games without a dinger but resoundingly snapped his homer-less streak with a couple of Statcast blasts, most notably his second, which traveled 426 feet at an exit velocity of 11.9 MPH. The California native seems to be past his side soreness- which had sidelined him for a couple of games- and seems ready to keep raking. He owns a 1.002 OPS and has some impressive underlying numbers, including a 12.5 percent walk rate compared to a 20 percent strikeout rate- the latter of which would be the lowest mark of his career- along with his usual excellence in hard-hit and exit velocity percentiles. Judge and the Yankees will get a day off before a three-game set against the Rays.
