In this feature, our golf staff of Joe Nicely, Spencer Aguiar, Andrew Putters and Josh Bennett will provide their weekly golf picks every Wednesday. The purpose of this article is to present you with alternative options to consider and hopefully make your selection a much easier process weekly. With that plan in mind, let's get started!

One and Done Selections - RBC Heritage
Joe Nicely - Will Zalatoris
Alternate - Matt Kuchar
Justin Thomas’ triple-bogey 8 last Saturday significantly changed the trajectory of my Masters week in lots of ways, one of which being this OAD contest. It wasn’t to be, as that snowman ended JT’s week, as well as mine. Back to the grind this week with one of my favorite non-major tournaments on the PGA Tour schedule...the RBC Heritage.
My love of this tournament, Hilton Head, and Harbour Town is a longstanding tradition. My experience tells me to go with experience this week, as players like Matt Kuchar, Ian Poulter, and Kevin Kisner are well aware of all the nuances this beautiful Pete Dye layout can throw at you. However, approach play perhaps triumphs all at Harbour Town, which leads me to a player that’s the polar opposite of a veteran, Will Zalatoris. This pick isn’t without risk, as “Willie Z” has never teed it up in the Heritage as a pro and heads to Hilton Head as a full-blown rockstar after a runner-up finish last week in the Masters. With those factors taken into account, I’m still willing to roll with a young man that will win a PGA Tour event very soon and has been a consistent top-10 performer - and fixture in my DFS lineups - since late last summer.

Spencer Aguiar - Tommy Fleetwood
Alternate - Sergio Garcia
Well, for a tournament that is hard to take a zero in earnings, the Masters was a complete meltdown. My selection of Patrick Cantlay barely beat anyone in the field, continuing my poor recent stretch in this contest. I noted a few weeks ago that my early-season barrage would eventually make things a little more challenging from a game theory standpoint, but the RBC Heritage seems like as good of a stop as any when it comes to playing something a little safer down the board.
Tommy Fleetwood enters the week ranked 24th in the world, a number well within the range of selections I want to be looking at for Harbour Town, and I believe the European-type setup will only help him to find success with his recent improvement in iron play. The Englishman grades inside the top-10 of my model when it comes to Bermuda grass and performance in windy conditions, and his third-place mark in my PGA DFS Rankings Wizard only helps to heighten my stance on his potential to find success in South Carolina. It might be a stretch to predict his first PGA Tour title, but I think the possibility is on the table.

Josh Bennett - Webb Simpson
Alternate - Tommy Fleetwood
It’s time. The boycott has been lifted in order to continue with the “don’t overthink it” OAD method. Will I now try to play Webb 6 more times in the next 8 events? Yes, probably. However, I’m going to make sure I get my points from this event first. Off the tee (especially distance) means nothing in this tournament, so Webb gets an auto-bump there. You need elite iron play and elite around the green play. I can’t think of a type of course better suited for Webb’s game than this one. He won last year and has a bunch of other top-15 finishes here, so clearly it’s a good fit for him. Coming off of a 12th place finish at the Masters, he is rolling in with good form and ready to go back-to-back and rack up another solid chunk of cash for me in this contest.
Yearly Earnings - $2,501,400
Yearly Cuts Made - 11/15
Andrew Putters - Tyrrell Hatton
Alternate - Chris Kirk
Tyrrell Hatton had a T3 here last year and his recent form at The Masters has my eyes all over him. Proximity is a must on this track which should be an advantage for him. His iron play has always been one of the strengths of his game and should unfold that talent this weekend. Hatton is definitely an elite player and it just makes sense to plug him in on a track like this one. His lack of great power off the tee will not come into play this week. Harbour Town is known for the great field equalizer with its narrow fairways and small greens. It’s always one of my favorite tournaments of the year to watch.
