4 years agoToronto Blue Jays outfielder George Springer (quad) took live batting practice on Tuesday but he won't be joining the club on the upcoming road trip which means his earliest date of return is likely April 27. The big offseason free-agent acquisition has yet to play in the regular season for the Blue Jays due to a quad injury and an oblique strain. The former Houston Astros outfielder appeared in just 10 spring games for the Jays and last appeared in a contest on March 21. Last season, Springer produced a 146 wRC+ in 51 games so he's likely well worth the wait for fantasy managers that might be getting antsy.--Marc Hulet - RotoBaller
