Alec Mills Allows Two Runs In Spot Start
4 years agoChicago Cubs starting pitcher Alec Mills filled in on late notice for Kyle Hendricks (illness) and went four innings versus the Milwaukee Brewers. Mills allowed two hits, two runs, zero walks and didn't record a strikeout in the contest. Mills filled in admirably in this contest, but Hendricks will likely be back for his next start and Mills will move back to the bullpen. Mills has now started a game and also recorded a save this season. He owns a 2.79 ERA, but can remain on the waiver wire as a reliever that doesn't offer much of anything at the moment for fantasy managers.
