Anthony Bass Gets Two Outs In Monday's Game
4 years agoMiami Marlins relief pitcher Anthony Bass got two outs in Monday's win over the Atlanta Braves. Bass, who was the Marlins closer until he blew his first two save chances in ugly fashion, came in to pitch the seventh inning after starter Sandy Alcantara was only able to get the first out of the inning. Bass allowed an inherited runner to score and walked a batter, but escaped the inning with no damage on his own line, lowering his ERA to 18.00. With Yimi Garcia seemingly excelling in the closer's role, it could be a while before Bass gets another shot.
