4 years agoToronto Raptors guard/forward Gary Trent Jr. scored a career-high 44 points on an incredible 17-for-19 shooting from the field and 7-for-9 from three-point range in Saturday's 135-115 victory against the Cavaliers. The 22-year-old added seven rebounds, four assists, and one steal, while joining Chris Bosh as the only players in Raptors franchise history to score 40-plus points on 80 percent shooting or better in a game. Raptors guard Malachi Flynn had a career night of his own, as the rookie scored 20 points on 8-for-14 shooting from the field to go along with 11 assists, with Kyle Lowry and Fred VanVleet sidelined. Through nine games as a member of the Raptors, Trent Jr. is averaging 17.9 points per game on 41 percent shooting from three-point range, making the third-year wing a must-start player across all fantasy formats.
