Michael Pineda Records Quality Start On Saturday
4 years agoMinnesota Twins starting pitcher Michael Pineda was solid despite a no-decision in Saturday's 4-3 loss to the Mariners. Pineda recorded a quality start, pitching six innings while allowing two runs on four hits with six strikeouts compared to no walks. The veteran had two mistakes on the day- a pair of home runs allowed- though he did a nice job of keeping the basepaths empty besides that. Pineda has an 11-2 strikeout-to-walk-ratio through his first two starts of the season- and seems poised to deliver solid late-round value for fantasy managers.
