Jorge Alfaro Dealing With A Tight Hamstring
4 years agoMiami Marlins catcher Jorge Alfaro (hamstring) is out of the lineup for a second day in a row on Thursday. While Wednesday seemed like a standard off day for Alfaro, manager Don Mattingly kept backup Chad Wallach in the lineup for Thursday's series opener against the Mets. Mattingly told reporters that Alfaro is dealing with tightness in his hamstring. With the Marlins having a rare Friday off day tomorrow, giving Alfaro Thursday off will allow him three days of rest. Alfaro has struggled at the plate and behind it so far this season, despite glowing reports about how much he'd improved in spring training. The Marlins catchers have no business in any fantasy lineups right now.
