Joe Ross Will Start Friday Against Dodgers
4 years agoWashington Nationals starting pitcher Joe Ross will get the start on Friday against the Dodgers, according to Jessica Camerato of MLB.com. It will be his first appearance since 2019, as he opted out of the 2020 season due to COVID-19 concerns. Ross struggled over his last three years on the mound, posting a 5.21 ERA with a 19.2 percent strikeout rate in 153 2/3 combined innings, as he also missed time in that span due to Tommy John surgery. Going up against a stacked Dodgers offense, it's unlikely he'll have much value, but as a fan of the game it will be good to see Ross back on the mound.
