4 years agoCleveland Indians starting pitcher Shane Bieber fanned 12 Royals in Wednesday's 4-2 win. It was a solid start for Bieber as he threw 6 1/3 innings while allowing three hits, four walks, two runs, and striking out the aforementioned 12. It was Bieber's second consecutive start in which he struck out 12, but he now has seven walks through his first two starts. The walks are uncharacteristic of Bieber as he only had 21 in 77 1/3 innings pitched in 2020. Hopefully, he can cut back on the walks as the season moves forward, but he is still an elite talent with some of the highest strikeout upside in the game.
