Bengals Don't Feel Forced To Trade Back
4 years agoCincinnati Bengals director of player personnel Duke Tobin said that the team won't sell the No. 5 overall pick in this year's draft and risk missing out on a top-tier talent. The Bengals are in an enviable position with the option of sitting tight at five overall to take one of the top non-quarterback talents or trading down if the opportunity arises. "We feel there are enough guys with the fifth pick in the draft to get a real guy that we feel comfortable with. And hits in a position of need," Tobin said. LSU wide receiver Ja'Marr Chase, Oregon left tackle Penei Sewell and Florida tight end Kyle Pitts are the three players most often linked to the Bengals at No. 5. All three would fill positions of need for the Bengals, too. The Bengals like the offensive line depth in this draft, so they could be leaning towards Chase or Pitts if they remain in the fifth spot later this month.
