Amed Rosario To See More Time In Center Field
4 years agoCleveland Indians infielder Amed Rosario may start to see regular time in center field, according to Indians beat writer Mandy Bell. Indians manager Terry Francona was quoted as saying, "he's not just a platoon player, for sure. We'll make sure we keep everybody to a point where they can be productive." This leads Bell to believe that Rosario could see more time in center field. The Indians had Rosario take repetitions in the outfield near the end of spring training, so the move may not come as a surprise to many. He has also been taking balls in the outfield on the days he is not playing. This could certainly increase Rosario's value if he becomes outfield eligible in fantasy leagues, but fantasy managers would be wise to see how he performs in the outfield before feeling comfortable with him in their lineups, as a failure to produce defensively there could see him replaced rather quickly by Francona.
