Falcons Open To Moving Out Of No. 4 Spot In Draft
4 years agoWith the Jacksonville Jaguars, New York Jets and San Francisco 49ers locked into the first three overall picks of this year's draft, the Atlanta Falcons have received trade calls from multiple teams and "are open to moving" out of the No. 4 overall pick, according to a source. The Jags are expected to take Clemson quarterback Trevor Lawrence at first overall, and the Jets and 49ers are both expected to take signal-callers as well. The Jets made their choice obvious when they traded Sam Darnold to the Carolina Panthers on Monday. Another QB could be in play at No. 4, or the Falcons could look at an offensive playmaker like Florida's Kyle Pitts or the best lineman in the draft in Oregon's Penei Sewell. It's unlikely that the Falcons would add another receiver like Ja'Marr Chase, Jaylen Waddle or DeVonta Smith if they remain at fourth overall.
