Triston McKenzie Makes Season Debut
4 years agoCleveland Indians starting pitcher Triston McKenzie made his 2021 debut in Monday's 3-0 loss to the Kansas City Royals. McKenzie did not start this one and instead piggy-backed off of starter Logan Allen. This was because the Indians do not need a fifth starter just yet thanks to the multiple off-days they have in the early part of the season. McKenzie pitched relatively well as he threw 3 2/3 innings while allowing one run, two hits, four walks, and striking out five. The five strikeouts were nice to see from McKenize as he posses a ton of upside in this department for fantasy players, but he will need to limit the walks moving forward. He will likely make his next appearance Monday at the Chicago White Sox.
