4 years agoMiami Marlins starting pitcher Elieser Hernandez (bicep) was placed on the 10-day Injured List on Monday. Hernandez is dealing with right biceps inflammation, an injury that he suffered during his start on Saturday. It's disappointing news for both the Marlins and his fantasy managers- as Hernandez was a popular sleeper pick in fantasy circles heading into the season after posting a superb 34-5 strikeout to walk ratio in six starts last year. The 25-year-old will see a doctor on Monday afternoon, which should give him and the team more information about how long he'll be sidelined. Pitcher Nick Niedert was called up to fill in for Hernandez in the rotation.--Tim Capurso
