BALLER MOVE: Add in 14-Team Leagues

ANALYSIS: For some reason, I still hold an image of Rudy Gay playing for the Grizzlies in the 2012 postseason in my mind. That version of Rudy Gay--the one getting to use 25% or more of that team possessions as a starter--is definitely long gone, but Gay has been able to find a nice supplementary role since those days and has stuck around for years now. Gay stopped starting most games in 2018, and in the past four seasons including this one, he's only been a starter in 26% of his 232 games played.
That is exactly what you're getting in Gay, a premiere reserve playing for a borderline playoff team that one way or another always seems to find a way to perform. Gay, even playing from the pine and logging just 22 MPG, is still one of the most efficient players around the association thanks to a great 1.02 FP/min average mark on the year, and an even greater 1.30 FP/min in the past week of games. In that four-game span, Gay has dropped 14 PPG (2.5 3PM per game) to go with 6 RPG, 2 APG, and a combined 1+ stocks per game.
While Gay's numbers are already great, even more in that span, his shooting has been a little bit shaky hitting just 43% of his 11+ FGA in the last four games. That should get up a bit going forward as he's a 45%+ career shooter. Gay is a sweet three-point shooter, he's scoring 1.7 3PM per game on the year, and has strung 10 games with 1+ 3PM getting back to Mar. 15 while hitting 2+ of them in seven of his last 10 games, and all last-four through Friday. If you need points, treys, or rebounds (and low TOs in 9-cat leagues), then Gay is far from the worst player you can add to your fantasy squad.

BALLER MOVE: Add in 14+ Team Leagues ROSTERED IN: 8% of leagues ANALYSIS: The surge of Deni Avdija in all fantasy leaderboards has a very easy-to-grasp reason and that's Kyle Kuzma missing time with an injury.
