David Dahl Bangs Out Three Hits In Rangers Debut
4 years agoTexas Rangers outfielder David Dahl had three hits during a 14-10 loss to the Kansas City Royals on opening day. The former top prospect of the Colorado Rockies had a double and two singles. He also added a walk and struck out twice. Dahl is expected to be the everyday left fielder in his first year with the Rangers. If he continues to hit in the second spot ahead of Joey Gallo, he should see lots of hittable pitches. Dahl appeared in just 24 games last season due to injury (shoulder) and hit a disappointing .183 but he's a career .286 batter spanning four seasons. If he can play a full season, he has 20-homer pop.
