Max Scherzer Has Start Pushed Back, Game Cancelled
4 years agoWashington Nationals pitcher Max Scherzer will have his sixth opening day start pushed back after the game with the New York Mets on Thursday was canceled due to a possible COVID-19 outbreak on the team. At least one player has tested positive while multiple players are under quarantine due to possible exposure. A second player is also thought to have tested positive, according to Bob Nightengale, although they are awaiting the results of a follow-up test. The game will not be made up during the day off tomorrow as the league is being very cautious.
