Oregon State vs. Houston
Ethan Thompson (Oregon State) MORE 15.5 Points - Quentin Grimes (Houston) LESS 17.5 Points
This expects to be another challenging choice on Monday. Oregon State and Houston played rather defensively in their Sweet 16 games as the pace dropped into the high 50's and low 60's for most of their respective games. Despite that, Thompson used his slashing style, even against Loyola, and got to the line eight more times. That will be key against a Houston team that can also play some physical defense. Thompson must get his 10+ shot attempts but also needs to get to the line at least six times. The prevailing feels are he should be able to do that on Monday. Houston was a bit vulnerable in most of their game with Rutgers. If Oregon State dictates the flow of play, Thompson should hit the MORE once again.
Quentin Grimes is a more interesting figure. The Syracuse 2-3 zone threw Grimes off timing-wise more than anything. It was noticeable as he shot 5 for 15 and never factored when it came to penetrating the Orangemen's interior defense. Grimes had zero attempts from the foul line which choked off his production chances. The result was a 14-point game that left some stunned. That was not a surprise. Now, he is going up against an even more stingy Oregon State defense. The only possible saving grace is that Houston can play with way more pace than Oregon State saw against their previous two opponents (especially Loyola). Maybe that catches the Beavers off guard? One should be a bit hesitant and look towards the LESS here.

Arkansas vs. Baylor
Moses Moody (Arkansas) MORE 15.5 Points - Macio Teague (Baylor) MORE 16.5 Points
The freshman guard went ice cold against Oral Roberts but he did attempt 20 shots from the field. He will not be deterred going up against a Baylor team that will push the tempo constantly. These were two of the five best offensive teams heading into the NCAA Tournament. Moody was able to get to the foul line seven times and 5+ attempts are not unreasonable to expect tonight. Also, the chances of him making just 20% of his shots again are very low. Because of the previous three games, his points prop has come down slightly. That is enough enticement to look and expect something higher. Take the MORE here in a game that could have a pace around 80 for each team.
The second half of this prop features Macio Teague. Now, while understandably his prop is low to entice. The senior guard disappeared over the previous two games with just 14 points combined. If there ever was a time to take the safer road, it is here. And yet, we push the button on the road less traveled anyway. Teague faces an Arkansas defense that can be scored upon. Both teams love to go up and down the court and again something in the 70's to near 80 is a plausible outcome for both teams. This prop may have the most risk of any in this entire tournament and that speaks volumes. Take the MORE here on a night where 90% of the nation takes the LESS.
A win here also pays three times the wager.
