4 years agoSt. Louis Cardinals manager Mike Shildt named the members of his starting rotation on Saturday. With several injuries to members of their pitching staff, especially Miles Mikolas (shoulder) and Kwang Hyun Kim (back), it was unclear who would be in the rotation to start the season. Saturday's announcement cleared that up. The first five games of the season will be started by Jack Flaherty, Adam Wainwright, Carlos Martinez, Daniel Ponce de Leon, and John Gant. Flaherty has the most upside, of course, but Wainwright and Martinez could provide solid fantasy innings. Ponce de Leon and Gant have some upside as well, but they come with some more risk than the others, especially because they could lose their spots once the injured pitchers are ready to return.--David A Marcillo - RotoBaller
