Miguel Sano Belts First Home Run Of Spring
4 years agoMinnesota Twins first/third baseman Miguel Sano went 1-for-2 with a home run, a walk, and a strikeout in Friday's loss to the Braves. Sano's homer was a rocket, a 458-foot blast that left his bat at an exit velocity of 110.7 MPH. The 27-year-old does have a relatively alarming 18 strikeouts compared to just four walks this spring, though he's always been prone to them, as evidenced by his 37.0 percent strikeout rate. Despite the quiet spring, Sano seems a bit undervalued at his 179 ADP when considering his outstanding Statcast metrics as well as his 47 homers over his last 158 games in Minnesota.
