Cardinals Agree To Terms With Malcolm Butler
4 years agoThe Arizona Cardinals agreed to terms with former Tennessee Titans cornerback Malcolm Butler on an undisclosed one-year deal on Thursday. Butler figures to immediately slot in as the team's top cornerback after the departure of Patrick Peterson in free agency. The 31-year-old Butler started in all 16 games for the Titans last season and had four interceptions. In his seven-year NFL career, he has 17 interceptions. Butler also posted a career-high 100 tackles in 2020, along with 14 passes defensed. Byron Murphy will serve as Arizona's slot corner in 2021, with Robert Alford, who missed the last two seasons due to injuries, battling for the No. 2 job across from Butler.
