4 years agoBoston Celtics small/power forward Jayson Tatum (illness) has been given the green light to get back into action Wednesday against Milwaukee following a one-game absence due to an illness. With Tatum returning, Semi Ojeleye is expected to return to the bench, zapping him of any DFS intrigue. Tatum dropped 30 points on 12-for-28 shooting in his latest matchup versus the Bucks, which came on Opening Night. His return also shuttles Jaylen Brown and Marcus Smart down leaderboards for upside intrigue, although the trio remain in play for what should be an up-tempo outing due to Milwaukee's third-ranked pace.--Jesse Borek

2 days agoBoston Celtics forward Jayson Tatum (ankle) will not be in the lineup on Wednesday against the Phoenix Suns. Earlier in the day, the team upgraded Tatum's status from doubtful to questionable, but he has now been officially ruled out. This will mark his fourth absence this month. With Tatum unavailable, Al Horford will likely receive an opportunity to start, while the rest of the first unit gets a boost in usage on the offensive end. Horford's numbers have slightly increased across the board as a starter, as he has averaged 9.6 points, 6.5 rebounds, and 2.4 assists.--Taavi Pailk - RotoBaller

2 days agoBoston Celtics forward Jayson Tatum (ankle) has been tagged as doubtful for Wednesday's matchup against Kevin Durant and the Phoenix Suns. The Celtics star sprained his left ankle on Monday against the Sacramento Kings, exiting the action after logging only 25 minutes. It appears he will miss at least one contest due to the injury. The rest of Boston's big guns are completely healthy heading into Wednesday, so we can expect Jaylen Brown, Derrick White, and Kristaps Porzingis to lead the offense. Al Horford is likely to step into the starting five if Tatum is ruled out.--Taavi Pailk - RotoBaller

1 week agoAccording to Justin Turpin of WEEI.com, Boston Celtics forward Jayson Tatum (knee) won't play against the Brooklyn Nets on Tuesday. Tatum will be sidelined due to right knee tendinopathy. As the playoffs approach, the 27-year-old star forward has begun sitting out games this month to manage his knee injury. With Jaylen Brown (knee) already out, players like Al Horford and Sam Hauser will see an uptick in playing time. Horford should now be added to the Celtics starting lineup for this evening's matchup.--Andrew Lennox - RotoBaller
