Chargers Re-Sign Tight End Stephen Anderson
4 years agoThe Los Angeles Chargers re-signed tight end Stephen Anderson to an undisclosed deal. Anderson played in all 16 games (three starts) last year and proved to be reliable tight end depth behind Hunter Henry. He finished the season with eight catches for 106 yards and no touchdowns while averaging 13.3 yards per catch. Anderson was also used as the team's primary run-blocking tight end after injuries to both Henry and Virgil Green. He's a smaller, athletic tight end that can work out of the backfield as a lead blocker as well as a pass-catcher. Behind veteran Jared Cook, Anderson and Donald Parham will serve as tight end depth for the Bolts. Anderson will only have fantasy appeal if Cook misses time with injury.
