Lewis Brinson Gets Two Hits On Monday
4 years agoMiami Marlins outfielder Lewis Brinson had a good game on Monday. In a Grapefruit League matchup with the St. Louis Cardinals, Brinson got the start in right field and ended up going 2-for-3 with a double and a run scored. He played well on defense as well, and has raised his spring batting average to .250 and his OPS to .774. Brinson may end up starting the season in Triple-A, as he has an option year left and the Marlins have a bit of a logjam in the outfield. Brinson has yet to show more than glimpses of his upside, but he seems to still have those flashes left to show. Maybe this will be the year he finally puts it all together at the highest level.
