Nick Castellanos Enjoying Strong Spring
4 years agoCincinnati Reds outfielder Nick Castellanos is playing great baseball this spring. Castellanos is batting .414 with two home runs, six RBI, and five runs scored in 11 games. He seems poised for a rebound season after a disappointing 2020 that saw him bat just .225 with a career-worst strikeout rate- 28.5 percent- though he did have 14 home runs. Castellanos' strikeout rate from last year was an outlier when compared to his career rates- while his expected batting average of .272 suggests he should have fared better in that department. Playing a full season in a hitter's ballpark will help Castellanos- he could flirt with 30-plus homers while posting good RBI, runs scored, and batting average marks. He makes for a good OF2 at his 83 ADP.
