Kenta Maeda Strikes Out Six On Saturday
4 years agoMinnesota Twins starting pitcher Kenta Maeda continued his dominant spring in his fourth start on Saturday against the Rays. Maeda pitched 5 1/3 innings, striking out six while allowing four hits and one run. He threw 53 of his 75 pitches for strikes and induced 14 swinging strikes, 13 of which came on offspeed offerings. Maeda now owns a sterling 18-1 strikeout-to-walk ratio in Grapefruit League action- and looks an awful lot like the guy who posted the third-best swinging-strike rate in the majors last season. He's currently going off the board at the beginning of the sixth round in fantasy drafts.
