Blake Bell Signs With Chiefs
4 years agoThe Kansas City Chiefs signed free-agent tight end Blake Bell to an undisclosed one-year deal. Bell won the Super Bowl with the Chiefs two seasons ago and will return to the club after one year with the Dallas Cowboys. He played 397 offensive snaps (37.8 percent) in the regular season with the Chiefs in 2019 and also added 209 special teams snaps (50 percent). His offensive output was limited, as he mostly served as a blocker. Bell had just eight catches for 67 yards in 2019 in Kansas City with one touchdown in the playoffs. He had 11 receptions for 110 yards with Dallas last season. Bell should be the favorite for backup duties behind Travis Kelce, but he won't have any fantasy appeal unless Kelce misses time with injury.
