George Springer Expected To Start In Center Field
4 years agoToronto Blue Jays outfielder George Springer is expected to make most of his starts in center field for his new team. Springer spent most of his time in Houston as a right fielder, though he's made 276 career starts in center, recording a .997 fielding percentage. Springer signed a monster contract to join an up-and-coming Blue Jays lineup, where he figures to rack up plenty of statistics as their new leadoff hitter. The 31-year-old has averaged 103 runs scored, 32 home runs, 84 RBI, 65 walks, and a .279 batting average in his last three full seasons. Springer's price tag is climbing in drafts, though it's warranted given his prowess as a four-category contributor.
