Salvador Perez Notches Eighth RBI Of Spring Against White Sox
4 years agoKansas City Royals catcher Salvador Perez continued his hot hitting in a 9-7 loss to the White Sox on Thursday. Perez went 1-for-2 with an RBI single and a run scored. The RBI was his eighth of the spring, to go along with a .458 average and three long-balls, as he's seemingly still on fire from his strong 2020 season. Perez slashed .333/.353/.633 with 11 dingers and 32 RBI in 37 games last year. He's currently being selected at an 87 ADP, which is a pretty penny to pay for a guy who rarely walks, strikes out a fair amount, and could regress in the average and home run categories given his overinflated BABIP and HR/FB rates from last year. Perez is still one of the top catchers in fantasy baseball, though he might be slightly overvalued due to his strong year last season.
