Kevin Love Will Remain Out Friday
4 years agoCleveland Cavaliers power forward/center Kevin Love (calf) has been ruled out for Friday's contest against San Antonio as he continues to battle the calf ailment that has all but zapped his 2020-21 campaign. Love returned to make two starts to begin the second half, but he played just 12 combined minutes before shutting it down again. Larry Nance Jr. compiled his third double-double of the year in his most recent outing, raising his profile in Love's absence yet again. At this stage, there's little reason to have confidence that Love can come back and be a fantasy-relevant contributor in the near future. His next chance to play comes Sunday versus the Raptors.

Kevin Love Out Friday Versus Raptors
1 month agoMiami Heat forward Kevin Love (personal) is away from the team for personal reasons for Friday's matchup with the Toronto Raptors and will miss a fifth straight game. The veteran averages only 10.5 minutes per game in his 19 games this season, so his absence won't impact the rotation much. He's also averaging career lows in points with 5.5, 4.1 rebounds and 1.0 assists. Haywood Highsmith and Nikola Jovic will continue to get most of the work moving forward, coming off the bench.
