Matt Skura Chooses The Dolphins
4 years agoFormer Baltimore Ravens center Matt Skura signed an undisclosed one-year deal with the Miami Dolphins on Thursday, according to his agent, David Canter. The 28-year-old Skura will be penciled in as the team's starting center after Ted Karras rejoined the New England Patriots in free agency. Skura started 39 games at center in Baltimore in the last three years, but he was benched in the middle of last season after he struggled with pistol snaps in back-to-back games. He was considered one of the top centers in the league in 2019 before he suffered a serious left knee injury. Skura's acquisition doesn't rule out Miami from finding a long-term solution at the position in this year's draft, and the team has four top-50 picks. The Ravens are expected to either stick with Patrick Mekari at center or move Bradley Bozeman from left guard or draft a replacement in the early rounds.
