Nick Solak Homers In Rangers Win
4 years agoTexas Rangers second baseman Nick Solak continued to emerge from his slow start to the spring with a 2-for-3 day that included a home run. After just four hits in his first seven games, the 26-year-old is 4-for-9 (.444) with two home runs over his past three games. In total, Solak is hitting 8-for-26 (.308) with three home runs but has an uninspiring BB-K of 1-11. While splitting his time between second base and the outfield in 2020, he struggled and produced an 86 wRC+. The lack of power production was perhaps the most surprising issue as his ISO rate was a well-below-average .077. He's expected to play every day at second this year with Rougned Odor shifting to third base,
