Isiah Kiner-Falefa Triples In Second Straight Game
4 years agoTexas Rangers shortstop Isiah Kiner-Falefa went 2-for-2 with a triple on Wednesday against the Arizona Diamondbacks. It was his second triple in as many games. The catcher-turned-shortstop is on a recent hot streak and is 4-for-9 with three extra-base hits over his past three games. For the season, Kiner-Falefa is 7-for-22 (.318) with a BB-K of 5-4. After receiving a Gold Glove Award at third base last year, he's expected to play shortstop every day for the Rangers. His offensive contributions are modest (93 wRC+) but he has fantasy value in deep leagues due to his ability to play multiple positions, including catcher.
