4 years agoThe Toronto Blue Jays picked up manager Charlie Montoyo's 2022 option on Wednesday. The move gives the club some stability for at least the next two years. The decision should be welcomed by fantasy managers as Montoyo has pushed versatility among his players which has increased the fantasy value of players like Vladimir Guerrero Jr. (1B/3B), Cavan Biggio (3B, 2B, 1B, OF), and outfielder Lourdes Gurriel Jr. who has been working out at first base this spring. After briefly appearing in the playoffs in 2020, Montoyo will face increased expectations in 2021 with a significantly-improved roster to work with — as well as a strong stable of young talent rising through the system.--Marc Hulet - RotoBaller
