Julio Rodriguez Homers, Doubles On Tuesday
4 years agoSeattle Mariners outfielder Julio Rodriguez went 2-for-3 with a double and his first spring home run on Tuesday. The 20-year-old rookie is now 7-for-22 (.318) with three extra-base hits and two stolen bases through 12 games. His appearance on Tuesday broke a string of six straight games with at least one strikeout. Overall, Rodriguez has a BB-K of 4-9 this spring which suggests he may need a little more minor-league seasoning before settling in at the MLB level. He spent the 2020 season at the Mariners' alternate training site. Rodriguez is ranked by Rotoballer as the second-best outfield prospect and the fifth-best prospect overall for dynasty baseball leagues.
