Texans Sign Terrence Brooks, Vincent Taylor
4 years agoThe Houston Texans signed free-agent safety Terrence Brooks to a one-year deal worth $2 million on Monday. They also signed defensive tackle Vincent Taylor to a one-year, $2 million deal. Brooks played in 29 games with the New England Patriots over the last two years and recorded 47 tackles and an interception while also seeing time as a reserve on special teams. Taylor, a former Cleveland Brown, will have $850,000 guaranteed. He appeared in 15 games (one start) in 2020 but was a consistent rotational piece along the defensive line and recorded 12 tackles, a QB hit and a fumble recovery. The former sixth-round pick of the Miami Dolphins in 2017 was claimed off waivers from the Buffalo Bills last September.
