4 years agoMiami Marlins starting pitcher Braxton Garrett was optioned to Triple-A Jacksonville on Monday. Garrett seemed to have an outside chance at the fifth spot in the Marlins rotation, but it's now clear that someone else will win that job. Garrett remains one of the better arms in the Marlins system and could make some starts at the big league level this season if any of the Marlins starters falter or get injured. He's worth holding onto in leagues with minor league spots, but doesn't need to be on a standard league's roster right now.--David A Marcillo - RotoBaller
