John Gant Works Into The Fifth Inning On Monday
4 years agoSt. Louis Cardinals starting pitcher John Gant got the start in Monday's Grapefruit League game against the Washington Nationals. Gant tossed 4 2/3 innings, allowing two runs on four hits and two walks, striking out three. Gant's spring ERA of 5.79 isn't anything to be excited about, but he seems ticketed for the starting rotation to begin the season and potentially much longer depending on how Miles Mikolas (shoulder) progresses. Gant should have some deeper mixed league value for as long as he remains in the rotation.
